About Us

Health Jigsaw, based in Kettering, is a mobile personal training business serving Southern Tasmania (the Channel and Kingston areas). We first launched in 2004 on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, quickly expanding into the Eastern Suburbs with a team of three personal trainers. In 2016, we made the move to Tasmania for a tree-change and a more peaceful pace of life (and yes, the views help too).

Whether your goal is to boost your energy, lose a few kilos, reduce stress, keep up with the kids, improve your golf swing, or just feel more like yourself again — we’ll design workouts that are efficient, effective, and tailored to you.

And because we’re mobile, we come to you. That means training at your home, workplace, or even your favourite local park. No crowded gyms, no awkward mirrors — just fresh air, good vibes, and a plan that fits your lifestyle.

Who Is Behind Health Jigsaw

Hi, I’m Andrew, owner and head trainer at Health Jigsaw.

As a fitness coach and personal trainer, I’m passionate about helping people become more active and healthier by making real lifestyle changes — not chasing quick fixes. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I can help someone improve their health, boost their confidence, and feel better about life in general.

I’ve always loved sport — touch football, netball, Oztag, cricket, tennis, squash, volleyball. I’ve learned that being active doesn’t have to be a chore. It can be fun, energising, and something you actually look forward to.

Back in 1995, I went for a routine health check at work and found out I had high cholesterol (thanks to my parents). My doctor suggested I make some changes to my diet and exercise habits. I took the advice seriously, made a few lifestyle tweaks, and managed to drop my cholesterol from 7.4 to 4.0 — all without medication. That moment sparked my deep interest in health and fitness, and it’s what led me to become a personal trainer.

I have been a qualified personal trainer since 1997 and have trained thousands of people of all ages and fitness levels — from a woman in her late 60s who’d never done formal exercise, to professional athletes and performers. I’ve even trained someone remotely while they were living in Antarctica. My career has taken me from five-star resorts (like Hayman Island in Queensland) to large fitness centres and exclusive personal training studios.

I’m not your typical drill-sergeant trainer. No shouting, no barking orders. I take a relaxed, supportive approach because I genuinely care about my clients—their goals, their progress, and what they’re capable of achieving.
