While we recognise that unannounced events do come up from time to time, our business is built around appointments and from a business aspect when you make a commitment to train on a regular basis, that time is specifically reserved for you. When you cancel on short notice, it is usually impossible for us to schedule in another client who could use the time of the cancelled session. Please note that your training includes the preparation time spent before the session, in addition to the time spent with you.
Cancellations must be made with 24 hours notice either by SMS or phone call (not email, Facebook or Twitter). Failure to do so may result in that session being forfeited and incur a full session cancellation fee.
For Buddy Sessions
If one person cancels with more than 24 hours before the session, then the single One-On-One session fee will apply for the remaining person training. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the session, then the full Buddy session fee applies. If the remaining person chooses not to train because the other participant will be unavailable, then the normal policy of cancellation within a 24-hour period or a cancellation fee applies.
For Group Sessions
Cancellations must be made by either SMS or phone call as soon as possible so that the session can be redesigned effectively for the remaining participants in the group. No refund will be provided for the person who does not attend their nominated group session, unless the whole group decides to cancel the session with more than 24 hours notice.
Cancellation By Our Trainers
Similarly, cancellations by our trainers must also be made with 24 hours notice and failure to do so will result in you receiving a complimentary session.
Arrive On Time
Please be on time and ready for your session. If you are late for a session, it will still finish at the scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not contacted your trainer, it will be considered a no show and you will be charged at the usual full session rate.
Training sessions may continue even if it is raining, unless the training venue is deemed to be unsafe by your trainer. Your trainer also has the right to determine if the conditions are too hot for training.
If it is raining, your trainer will call or SMS you around 30 minutes before the start of the session to either change the location or to cancel the session. When training is cancelled due to weather conditions, you will not be charged for the session.
Bring a towel, water and medication (e.g. asthma, diabetes, etc) to each session for reasons of hygiene and safety. Wear loose comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement and wear several layers in winter so that you can remove outer layers as you warm up. If you’re training between 10 am and 3 pm, it is advisable to wear sunglasses, a cap/hat and sunscreen. Also bring a happy smile and a good attitude, and be prepared to work hard and sweat!
Participation in exercise carries some risk. Your involvement in any fitness assessment or exercise program is completely voluntary. You are responsible for monitoring your own condition throughout the training session and should any unusual symptom occur, you have the right to cease participation and inform your trainer of the symptoms.
