Who Is Behind Health Jigsaw
My name is Andrew, the owner and principal trainer of Health Jigsaw.
As a fitness coach/personal trainer, I am passionate about helping people become more active and healthier through making lifestyle changes, not just a quick fix. It’s very rewarding to know I can help people make positive changes to their health, lifestyle, self-confidence and general outlook in life.
Having always been involved in sports (touch football, netball, Oztag, cricket, tennis, squash, volleyball), exercise and training, I learned from an early age that being active and exercising can be enjoyable and lots of fun.
During a routine health assessment at work in 1995, I found out that I had high cholesterol (I guess I didn’t choose my parents properly). I was told then to modify my diet and exercise more. By changing my lifestyle and without the aid of medication, I got my cholesterol down from 7.4 (high) to 4.0 (normal). This was when I really became interested in health and fitness and where my journey as a personal trainer began.
I have been involved in the health and fitness industry since 1997 and working as a full-time trainer since 2004. I have trained hundreds of clients of all ages with varying levels of fitness, from beginners to professional athletes and performers. My professional experience includes working in a five star resort (Hayman Island Resort, Queensland), large fitness centres and personal training studios.
I’m not the kind of trainer who yells or screams like an army sergeant. I take a down to earth approach with my clients – I care about them, their goals, their level of fitness and what they are capable of.
